Edoughble…….
I have to say that I feel that raw cookie dough is one of the most addictive treats on earth! If you are honest, a good portion of you will admit that you love raw cookie dough as much as I do. When I was a kid I think I ate more raw cookie dough than I ate baked cookies. Now that I am older, and the scare of salmonella has been put into us, I make all of my cookie dough egg free just, so I can eat it before I bake it. Not to mention I want my kids to have that raw cookie dough memory and they can eat it too!
Today I have a brand-new company that I want to introduce you to. Edoughble creates a bunch of different flavored RAW COOKIE DOUGH! It isn’t for baking at all. They are the first ever edible cookie dough producers that have created small batch, hand crafted edible cookie dough that uses only high-quality ingredients. I have been privileged to try two of their flavors, Chocolate Chip Off the Ol’ Block and Birthday Bash. I must admit that I am partial to Birthday Bash just because cake batter anything is my favorite flavor. But those are just two of their amazing flavors, take a peek at the rest….

Are you excited yet? If you absolutely can’t wait to see if you win the giveaway you can find a store near you that carries their products with their handy dandy store finder. If you aren’t able to find a store near you, you can easily purchase your favorite flavors through Edoughble’s web site. And we aren’t done yet. I was so excited about this amazing new find that I had to create a recipe to go with it. You will really love it, that is if you don’t eat the entire container of your favorite dough in one sitting. And if you do have any leftover you can leave it on the counter for up to four weeks once it is opened, and you can prolong its life even longer by keeping it in the fridge, or freezer.
You can use any flavor of Edoughble edible cookie dough that you want, I just decided to use Chocolate Chip Off the Ol’ Block. This ice cream bon bon recipe is so simple, and perfect since summer has already hit us here in Georgia. The only tip I feel I need to give you on these is, work fast! If you have a warm house, like we do, you will want to only take a few balls out of the freezer at a time, so they don’t soften up. Other than that, you really can not mess this up. It is simple, it is fairly quick to make, and oh so yummy. So, restrain yourself from eating the entire carton of cookie dough, whip up some bon bons, sit back, relax, and enjoy!
What flavor of Edoughble cookie dough will you choose?
Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Ice Cream Bon Bons
By Angie Gouchenour
9 servings
Ingredients
1 ¼ cup vanilla non-dairy ice cream
¼ cup Edoughble cookie dough (chilled rolled into pea size pieces)
¾ cup dark chocolate chips
1 ½ Tablespoons coconut oil
1 Tablespoon peanut butter chips and ¼ teaspoon coconut oil (Optional)
Directions
Remove the ice cream from the freezer and allow it to soften slightly
Chill your dough so it is easy to roll into little balls, and doesn’t fall apart when you mix it with the ice cream
In a medium bowl cream your ice cream with your spoon, not melted, just enough to be able to fold the Edoughble dough balls in
Return to the freezer for 10 minutes
Remove the ice cream mixture from the freezer and using a 1 tablespoon cookie scoop, scoop the ice cream onto a metal cake pan (This will help them maintain their shape while you are working with them
Allow them to harden for at least 30 minutes
While they are in the freezer combine the chocolate chips and coconut oil in a small bowl and microwave in 2-30 second increments
Remove from the microwave and stir until all the chips are melted
Allow to cool for 5-10 minutes
Remove the ice cream balls from the freezer and dip them in to the chocolate one by one (I found it helpful to drop them in, quickly spoon the chocolate over them, and lift them out with a fork)
Place the dipped bon bon back onto the chilled cake pan
Repeat
If you would like you can add an optional peanut butter chip drizzle over the top
Place the bon bons back in the freezer until chilled
Store in a sealed container
