Merry Christmas ……
Normally during the holidays, I create a round up post of some of my favorite holiday recipes. This year I decided to create a round up post using other people’s recipes. I have not tried any of these, but just look at them, you can’t possibly go wrong! Even though Christmas is just a few days away I know that there are still parties over the next few nights, or maybe you just want a very merry Christmas at home. 😉 If you aren’t the party type, and Christmas slips by, these drinks would be perfect for New Year, or better yet, stick a pin in them for a winter themed party in July when you are wishing for a little snow.
Sugar Cookie Martini
This first recipe is by one of my favorite fashion bloggers. She gives us a little taste of her culinary skills around the holidays. I don’t know about you, but I think these sprinkles are just too cute, and I haven’t met sugar cookie anything that I haven’t just been in love with!
INGREDIENTS
- Ice
- 6 oz. vodka
- 3 oz. Milk……..

Sex on a Snowbank
This recipe is an absolute coconut lover’s. I’m sure you have all tried Sex on the Beach (the drink). This drink flips it around, and it looks like a coconut winter wonderland. It reminds me of something an ice princess might drink.
Ingredients
1 1/2 ounces Malibu rum
3 tablespoons coconut cream……

Kahlua Hot Chocolate
I have never tried anything from this blogger that hasn’t been amazing, so I’m sure that this recipe isn’t any different. This isn’t a really hard cocktail, maybe more of a night cap after a bout of playing out in the snow, or a nice warm drink to have in front of a roaring fire with some yummy sugar cookies.
INGREDIENTS:
- 2 cups milk
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 1 1/2 tablespoons Dutch-processed unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon……

Christmas Coffee Cocktail
Maybe you are more of a coffee drinker rather than a hot chocolate drinker and you are more in the mood for a drink with a kick that is a little less like dessert. (Although you can’t skimp on the whipped cream here!) This particular drink might just be a great addition to that piece of pie you have already turned down twice.
INGREDIENTS:
4 oz strong coffee
1 1/2 oz amaretto liqueur
1 1/2 oz coffee liqueur…..

S’more Martini
I was talking with my 4 and 5 year old yesterday about roasting marshmallows, and that is what sold me when I saw this drink. I don’t know about anyone else, but I love a marshmallow roasted to gooey, yet crunchy, browned perfection. I have to say that even after working as a bartender in my 20’s (There is a little fun fact I’m sure you didn’t know.) I have NEVER heard of marshmallow vodka.
Ingredients
¼ c chocolate syrup
2 graham crackers finally crushed
2 marshmallows
½ cup marshmallow vodka…..

Gingerbread Hot Cocoa
OK, this drink isn’t “adulted”, BUT it has a very sophisticated taste. So, if you are the designated driver, you don’t drink, or you need to just slow your roll a little bit, this is probably the drink for you. This might also be a good drink if there are any little kiddies, or teenagers, running around. Just the cookie alone would be a win in my book.
Ingredients
- 4 cups milk
- ½ cup cocoa powder
- ¼ cup brown sugar
- ¼ cup white sugar
- ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon…….

White Hot Chocolate
And last, but not least, here is a non-alcoholic dream for the white chocolate lovers. (Pssst, if you want to make this into an adult hot chocolate I’m thinking that some of that marshmallow vodka might do the trick.) Fair warning though, this drink sounds pretty creamy, and indulgent. You may just want to enjoy it as a dessert. After all, it has a cookie in it!
Ingredients:
4 cups milk of choice (You can substitute half and half, heavy cream, or a mixture.)
1 tsp vanilla extract……
