The Right Amount of Yum ……
With a giant rain storm in the forecast, and a less than enjoyable weekly shopping trip, I was super excited to come home to a priority box sitting on our front step. It was filled with cookies, and a new sugar substitute. I will tell you about the sugar substitute once I cook with it next week, but for now I want to focus on these amazingly, glorious cookies that just melted in my mouth. The kids would have scarfed down the rest of the box if I wouldn’t have told them that the rest were for their dad. But are they really? 😉

The bakery that these cookies came from is called Lemon Drop Cookie Shop and it is located in California. I’m always up for sampling a new product, but an item from a bakery, AND a baked good that uses a sugar sub that has probiotics and fiber?! I’m seriously looking around for unicorns, and a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow right now. This probably sounds too good to be true, but it is all a part of the new sugar substitute I will be telling you more about next week.

The first thing that caught my eye about these cookies is the packaging. They each came in their own little package with a sticky label and the box they were in was filled with shredded purple and white paper that the kids just went crazy over. (I’m sure it is currently spread all over the play room as they thought it was “paper glitter”.) I looked up their website and was super excited to see that each cookie is frosted by hand which lends to their unique look. They are professional, but have a warm, homey appeal to them that a lot of bigger industrial bakeries just don’t have.

I’m sure you are wondering about the taste. All I can say is that they absolutely melt in your mouth! They sent me lemon drops, brown butter pecan, and chocolate chocolate caramel cookies. I am seriously torn between the lemon drop cookies and the brown butter pecan as far as picking a favorite. They were both simply amazing. I’m not a giant chocolate fan like my husband, and daughter, but I think she would have defended her cookie with her life if I would have tried to take it back. 😉

All of their “gourmet” cookies are $23.00 for a dozen…. (They also have some gluten free options!)
Sugar Cookie
Brown Butter Pecan Cookies
Chocolate Chocolate Caramel Cookies
Snickerdoodle Cookies
Salted Oatmeal Cookies
Chocolate Chip Cookies
Cookies for a Cause (breast cancer awareness cookies) are $25.00 a dozen with 12 free mini cookies. 1” mini bites are $3.00 a dozen and all the proceeds go to Breast Cancer Research.
If you have a business you want to promote, they can do that too! All you have to do is send them a picture of what you want on the cookie, and “you’re in business”. Once you order you don’t have to wait that long for your order. They work their magic in 3-4 days and delivery time by priority mail usually takes 2-3 business days. (You can expedite your order for an additional charge.)
Do I sound like I’m a little bit in love with this cookie shop? Well, I am! They seem to have a tight knit little working “family”, they make amazing cookies, their designs are gorgeous, and they can put just about anything you’d like on a cookie. If you ever get a chance order a dozen and once they arrive, sit back, relax, and enjoy!

I love writing reviews on samples I receive, and certain products that I buy. All of my thoughts are honest, and original. I am not being compensated for my views, and the opinions are my own.
Oh my goodness, yum! They all sound so delicious, but I think I’d probably die over that Chocolate Caramel one. What a great little gift box this would make!
